Triac cross-reference help

I've been asked by a friend to fix a faulty motor control board. The only active component is a TO-220 marked

PH
OT239
m9317

so that seems a good starting point. I have discovered that an OT239 is an obsolete triac, but can't find any further information. I think I may have found an equivalent - TS820-600T - but it was on a Japanese site so I'm not 100% certain. Would someone be prepared to spend a few minutes confirming for me?

Also would it be safe to assume both have the usual triac pinout?

Many thanks
Leigh

Found a discontinuation notice which lists the OT239 as a "Gen. Purpose Thyristor" (not a triac) and BT258-800R as the recommended replacement. No further information about pin outs etc. but you can easily find the NXP data sheet for the BTR and maybe it's possible to verify that against the board?

/U.

Yes, a thyristor, my mistake. I don't think the BT258 is current either but as I have seen the TS820-600T listed as the nearest equivalent to that as well, that's what I'll try. Many thanks for taking the trouble to confirm.
