SYCOMOREEN
has designed for its
PRBC engines a simple and efficient system of continuous variation of
the compression rate between
values of 5 to 25 permitting a better mastery of the
combustion, the
overfeeding and encouraging the
downsizing and the cleaning
of exhaust gases.
The E4 floor
is dedicated
to the conversion of the rotary alternated motion of the pistons in
rotary continuous of the output shaft The
E3 floor is dedicated to the management of the exchanges of gases of
the machine The
E2 floor is dedicated to the thermomechanical conversions The
E1 floor is dedicated to the injection of fuel and the regulation of
the compression rate.

The E1 floor is
composed by the closing plate 5, by composed 4 wholes including each
- a modificating volume organ 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D
- a sliding part in the boring of a
hollow body 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D bound of the closing plate 5
- an injector 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D contained in the sliding part
The boring of each of the hollow
bodies 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D communicate with their correspondent
room 42A, 42B, 42C, 42D.
The PRBC engines have a modificating volume organ
(3) communicating with the room. This organ is moving between
an
advanced position and
a remote position
Thus,
the rate of compression can be adapted to approach of the optimal
conditions of working :
-strong
rate if the organ (3) is in advanced position
-weak
rate if the organ (3) is in remote position
According
to the type of chosen combustion (gasoline or Diesel), the regulating
organ (3) can
carry an injector and/or a spark-plug for of
ignition (2).
In
any case, the modificating volume organ 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D forms a piston
and permits a fast modification of the volume of compression and/or the
volume of aspiration of the rooms while penetrating more or less in the
roomsof
combustion.
This piloting can make itself notably by injection of an incompressible
fluid under pressure in the hollow body 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D or by an
electric motor equipped with a screw
without end - reducer
pushing or withdrawing the piston formed by the regulating volume organ
3A,
3B, 3C, 3D. This
piloting can make itself independently for one or the other of the
combustion rooms.
The
amplitude of regulating
depends on the measurements of the parts. To simplify the management,
the adjustable pistons 3A,3B,3C,3D could be supported and could
be manipulated by a common mechanism, but then, the regulating will be
not independent of a room to the other.
